GATEWAY emuNAND 11.7.0-40E (old3DS/2DS/new3DS/new2DS)

Hinweise:
- Wer bereit's meine GW Patches 11.3.0E /11.4.0E / 11.5.0E /11.6.0E verwendet, installiert den Patch zur aktuellen Firmware einfach drüber. (Tutorial Schritt 1 - 4!)
- erstellen eines neuen emuNAND's ist da nicht erforderlich!
- Konsolen mit emuNAND Firmware unter Version 9.0.0-20E, springen direkt zum Schritt "3c" nachdem Schritt 1 - 3 durchgeführt wurde!

Benötigt wird:
- ein Backup des emuNAND (zur Sicherung!)
- ein emuNAND 4.5.0-10E ---> 11.2.0-35E
- das Download Pack:

Tutorial:
1: Inhalt in Root der SD/microSD-Karte (Konsole) kopieren
2: in den GATEWAY emuNAND booten
3: die sysUpdater v0.4.2.cia installieren
3b: sysUpdater starten und drücken, warten bis es fertig ist....
3c: Konsole ausschalten den updates Ordner löschen ---> updates (update!) umbenennen in updates
3d: booten in GATEWAY emuNAND ---> sysUpdater starten ---> drücken ---> warten bis es fertig ist....
4: Der emuNAND ist nun aktuell auf 11.7.0-40E inkl. HBL Loader. (kein Internet erforderlich!)

Attention, please read this first before doing anything!
- If you use my last GW Patch 11.6.0U, just install the new patch above the old Firmware! (Tutorial Step 1 - 4!)
- Creating a new emuNAND is not required!
- Consoles with emuNAND Version less than 9.0.0-20U jump directly to Step "3c" after Step 1 - 3 has been performed!

Required:
- a Backup of your actually used emuNAND (for Security reasons!)
- an emuNAND between 4.5.0-10U and 11.2.0-35U
- a CIA Installer on GATEWAY Red Card

Tutorial:
1: Copy the content from the Folder to root of Consoles SD / microSD card
2: boot into the GATEWAY emuNAND
3: install the sysUpdater v0.4.2.cia
3b: start sysUpdater and press , wait until it's done ....
3c: turn off the Console, delete the updates folder ---> rename update (update!) to updates
3d: boot into GATEWAY emuNAND ---> start sysUpdater ---> press , wait until it's done ....
4: The emuNAND is now on 11.7.0-40U incl. HBL Loader. (install the cia to use it!)
No Internet Connection required!

Do i have to run thin while im on emunand gateway? Not on gateway sysnand? When i update my emunand will i be able to install freeshop in emunand?

From your 11.6.0-39E to 11.7.0-40J it is required to install everything again..?
Isn't it possible to update just the new 11.7 cia?
In other words, coming from your 11.6,, are Steps 3c and 3d necessayr?

Because you write updating from 11.6 europe to 11.7 japan version?
Or is this a typo?

Normally for updating the same region.
You need the steps from 1-4.

Going from 123AB's 11.6.0-39J to 11.7.0-40J.
In this case, Steps 3c and 3d are not necessary, is that right?

Okay so you can follow the guide from 123ab.
And you need all steps from 1-4!
3c and 3d are necessary, these are steps for updating the fw to 11.7

I installed the 11.6 gateway emunand firmware shown in this video. Can I update to 11.7 using the files in this thread or would there be issues?

yes you can use this guide
Pick from the download links the correct region + ds model (old or new)
And you need all four steps!

Thanks for the answer. But just to be on the safe side: if anything goes wrong and this update turns out not to be compatible with the frankenfirmware I currently have installed, can it be fixed afterwards? Also, there's one thing I forgot to mention: I have linked nands (long story, don't ask). Do I run the risk of messing something up if I install this with linked nands?

Hi,
if you want to be safe, if something goes wrong.
You can backup your emuNand and all your files on the sd card.

Take out the sd card from your ds and insert it on your pc.
Use this tool -> 3DS-Multi-EmuNAND-Creator https://raw.githubusercontent.com/DarkMatterCore/3ds-multinand/master/3ds-multinand.exe
And extract your NAND from the sd card to a safe location.
After them copy the full content from the sd card to a safe location.

And now you can follow the guide from the first post with all steps

If you get problems. You can easily inject your emuNand back.

Lastly remove all files from the sd card and copy your content from your safe location to the sd card back.
