How to install:

Method #1:
==========

* Copy installPKG.pkg and report_data.txt to the root of a USB stick/drive
* Install "installPKG", reboot, install from the bubble
* Start [* Install Package Files] standalone from the icon in XMB (not from /app_home)
* It should look as in the screenshot
* Press [START] to "Update and Load Stealth multiMAN"

Method #2:
==========
* Rename report_data.txt to anyFileName.self and Copy to USB stick or PS3 HDD
* Use multiMAN mmOS, locate the file and double-click on it
* mM stealth will install and start

Once you booted stealth mM at least once you can safely delete the 'regular' mM from XMB if you wish.
You can delete the standalone [* Install Package Files] application from XMB if you wish.

How to load the stealth multiMAN:

1) Restart your PS3
2) Go go /app_home (which will change to the last game you loaded or to [* Install Package Files]) and press [X]
3) If you hold [SELECT] pressed it will load stealth multiMAN directly.

The updated [* Install Package Files] supports the stealth multiMAN and you can launch it by pressing [SELECT].

The stealth multiMAN supports online update which doesn't require PKG file installation and is a seamless process.

Q: Why is it stealth?
A:
- It is not present in XMB (not present in /dev_hdd0/game/*)
- Each time the /app_home (* Install Package Files) gets different TITLE ID and TITLE NAME
- Every time you load a game it will change the TITLE of /app_home thus not looking suspicious
- You can use mM while your XMB looks totally OFW (with no homebrew installed which may be detected)

I know that there are users on other than 4.30CFW firmwares that would also love to have the stealthMAN so I prepared an example PKG file.

It is for 03.40-04.30CFW and for those of you who LOVE to create non-working mM stealth versions with different title ids

The package file contains:

* EBOOT.BIN
* data

If you wish to create your own stealth version, repack the pkg with your changes to the PARAM.SFO / CONTENT-ID. Do not modify "data" file!

Any stealth version will be able to update online and is 100% compatible/feature-like the standard mM.

Still, the best way to be really stealth is to be on 4.30CFW ROGERO ver 2.03 and use the stealth version from my previous post (the link was updated).

multiMan Entwickler deank sorgt mit seinem neuesten Release wieder einmal dafür, dass Sony im Kampf gegen die CFWs das Nachsehen hat. Denn nachdem in jüngster Vergangenheit herausgekommen war, dass Benutzer des multiMan verräterische Spuren hinterlassen, hat er sein das System verändert.

Mit der aktuellen Revision 04.14.03 ist der beliebte Backup Manager in einer STEALTH Version erhältlich. Diese soll es vorerst unmöglich machen, die Benutzung zu erkennen. Dies wird durch verschiedene Methoden erreicht:

multiMan ist nicht im XMB (unter /dev_hdd0/game/*) vorhanden
/app_home (* Install Package Files) bekommt jedes mal eine neue TITLE ID sowie TITLE NAME
Der TITLE von /app_home wird bei jedem Spielstart geändert
Das XMB bleibt frei von Homebrew, welche erkannt werden könnte

How to: multiMan STEALTH installieren

Methode #1:
==========

* installPKG.pkg und report_data.txt in den root eines USB stick kopieren
* "installPKG" installieren, neustarten, von der Blase installieren
* [* Install Package Files] standalone über das XMB Icon starten (nicht über /app_home)
* Ihr solltet nun den Screenshot sehen
* [START] drücken und "Update and Load Stealth multiMAN" benutzen

Methode #2:
==========

* report_data.txt in irgendeinName.self umbenennen und auf einen USB Stick oder die PS3 Festplatte kopieren
* benutzt multiMAN mmOS und öffnet die Datei mit einem Doppelklick
* mM stealth wird installiert und gestartet

Sobald die Installation abgeschlossen ist, können sowohl die [* Install Package Files] Anwendung als auch der reguläre multiMan per XMB gelöscht werden.

So wird der multiMan STEALTH gestartet:
1) PS3 neustarten
2) zu /app_home (wird zum zuletzt benutzten Spiel oder [* Install Package Files]) navigieren und :_X:drücken
3) Durch das Halten von [SELECT] wird der multiMAN STEALTH direkt geladen.

multiman 04.14.04 ist da, über mm update funktioniert es nicht und am pc finde ich nirgends einen link ...

edit: hab doch einen link gefunden, update 2mb gross, das mit dem neuen install package files, kopieren, dann auswählen, PS3 startet neu, dann die luftblase installieren, ist doch viel umständlicher als vorher, aber kein beinbruch

mein ntfs drive 1TB USB nimmt er erst garnicht !

Create a proper USB.cfg file withe vendor/device discriptors and save it as dev_hdd0/game/ BLES/80608/USRDIR/USB.CFG

Sorry ich wollte das erste mal testen ob eine USB Platte mit NTFS erkannt wird aber ich dachte das braucht nicht mehr erstellt werden dieses usb dingens da!?
Weii auch garnicht wie und was ich da machen soll was man braucht etc.
Sind nur ein paar Videos drauf auf der Platte kein game (erstmal)

mit dem stealth multiman hört sich ja interessant an..

weil wenn man so mit cfw online geht und zockt können meine ps3 freunde sehen das ich mit multiman arbeite..

in der freundesliste unter meinen namen steht dann nämlich multiman, das sollte nun jetzt behoben sein..

aber trotzdem werde ich jetzt auf eine neue base version warten..

edit: patcht multiman nun meine games von alleine eigentlich?? wenn ja dann wie weit?? (4.30??)

ich bin gerade dabei mir die neue CFW von Rogero 4.30 V2.03 auf die PS3 zu machen.

Nun habe ich die Frage welchen Multiman ich für diese CFW am besten verwende

Es gibt ja schon den MM 04.14 ist der neuste . Läuft dieser MM stabil und ist empfehlenswert für die Rogero 4.30 V2.03 ??

stößt man auf verschiedene Versionen vom Multiman (MM) .

Darunter ist auch eine Full Multimanversion mit 291 mb ?

Was enthält diese Multimanversion im Gegensatz zu den anderen MM 04.14 Versionen mit weniger MB anzahl ?

Welche Multimanversion würdet ihr Empfehlen ??

Ich hätte mal eine kurze Frage bezüglich der Stealth Version.

Hab Sie nun installiert und es läuft auch alles. Mein Problem ist nur, wenn man ein Spiel gemountet hat, kommt ja auf APP Home nicht mehr ,,Install Package Files''.

Heisst das, dass man die Konsole jedes Mal neu starten muss, wenn man ein neues Spiel mounten will? Oder gibt es hier noch eine Kniff um das zu umgehen.

Select gedrückt halten hilft nicht, sobald ein Spiel gemountet wird.
Sollte das wirklich so sein, dass man immer neustarten muss, um ein Spiel zu wechseln, nervt das finde ich ganz schön.

der 04.14.04 prüft ja jetzt das Update auf Lauffähigkeit 4.21 aber die Disk was er bis 04.14.00 gemacht hat nicht mehr ist das ein Fehler oder gewollt !

is ein Fehler, bzw. beides zusammen gibt noch Probs
