WipEout HD - Patch 1.30 - jetzt Patch 1.40

    Wie Sony angekündigt hat, wird morgen der Patch 1.30 für WipEout HD erscheinen. Hier die offizielle Changelog:


    * Ability to earn more than 50 online ranks based on finishing position, speed class and rank of the opposing players.
    * A new screen after finishing a race or tourney. This screen shows a podium with the three fastest competitors.
    * Badges can be earned by achieving certain goals in an online race or tourney. A total of 33 badges can be earned.
    * Newly added invite system. Players can invite buddies directly into a lobby. A message also notifies when one of your buddies is playing online. (I guess this is all in-game and not in-xmb)
    * Has a race already been started? After the update you can enter the lobby and watch the race live. After the race everyone, including the viewers will enter the lobby for the next race.
    * New options to customise a race:
    o Weaponhints infoscreen (on/off)
    o Opponents (public/friends/invite only)
    o Ability to use corkscrew (on/off)
    o Steer assist (on/off)
    o Amount of laps (20 max

    Das klingt ja mal fett, das müssen wir dann unbedingt mal mit ein paar racern ausprobieren. Wenn man zu spät ist kann man in der Lobby warten und das aktuelle Rennne live mitverfolgen. Mal richtig fett :)

    08.04.09 - Sony gibt bekannt, dass heute für Wipeout HD ein Update im PlayStation Network veröffentlicht wird. Das Update 1.30 ist kostenlos und beinhaltet einen Zuschauer-Modus, mehrere neue Renn-Optionen, Spieleinladungen, überarbeitete Ranglisten, uvm.

    WipEout HD: Fehlerhaftes Update 1.30 aufgespielt!!!


    Im Laufe des gestrigen Tages spielte man ein neues Update auf, dass das Rennspiel
    WipEout HD auf die Version 1.30 aktualisierte und einige neue Features mit sich brachte.


    Des Weiteren wurde der Online-Multiplayer überarbeitet und bietet nun die Möglichkeit,
    auf einfache Art und Weise mit Freunden zu spielen oder bereits gestartete Rennen live
    in der Lobby zu verfolgen. Leider gesellte sich ein störender Bug zu den Fehlern, der
    hoffentlich schnell ausgemerzt wird.


    So berichten Spieler, die das Update bereits installiert haben, von unkontrollierten
    Abstürzen. Um den Fehler vorerst zu umgehen, empfiehlt man den Spielern, den Titel zu
    starten, ohne dass die Konsole mit dem PlayStation Network verbunden ist. Wurde das
    Spiel gestartet, dürft ihr euch wieder einloggen.

    WipEout HD: Update 1.30



    Hi everybody! I’m excited to bring to you news of an awesome update for WipEout
    HD. And perhaps the best news is you don’t have to wait long for it. Tomorrow, April
    8, 2009, the V1.30 free update for WipEout HD will be available for download. The
    update will introduce a selection of new multiplayer features to the legendary
    anti-gravity racer. Check out the full details below.


    Online Ranking


    With over 50 ranks to progress through, there will be a new edge to online racing in
    WipEout HD. Your finishing position, speed class and the rank of your opponents will
    determine how many ranking points you are awarded as you strive to go from a
    Wipeout Trainee to a Wipeout Legend!




    Podium Screen & Online Badges


    A new podium screen will now display the top three finishers after each online race or
    tournament.
    Regardless of whether you finish in the Top Three or not, every player has the
    chance of being awarded an ‘online badge’ in recognition of how they performed in
    the race.
    There are 33 badges in total, examples of which are displayed here.




    Connect easily with your friends


    Game invites have now been introduced to WipEout HD to make it easy for you to
    invite your friends to join your game or for them to invite you! In addition, you will
    also be informed of any friends with an active online game and have the ability to join
    that game instantly!



    Watch races in progress


    If a race has started before you have had chance to join it, Spectator mode will allow
    you to watch that race. Within spectator mode, you can choose from four camera
    angles and select which ship to watch.


    After the race has been completed, you will be taken back to the lobby with the other
    players so you can compete with them in the next race.



    Additional Options


    Lastly, to provide more variety when setting up an online race, WipEout HD has
    added a few additional options:


    HUD Weapon Hints on/off.
    Opponents - Choose to create a Public, Friends-only or Invite-only game.
    Barrel Rolls on/off
    Pilot Assist Allowed on/off
    Number of laps (max 20)

    Hi Wipeout Zoners,


    I just thought you guys should be among the first to know - we're releasing a new patch for WipEout HD. V1.40 will be available TOMORROW at 5pm (UK time, Wednesday 6th May)!


    So, just boot up the game after that time and you will be prompted as usual.


    It fixes the annoying stutter during online races, which I'm sure will please you all. We have had the fix internally for a while now but every patch has to go through a lengthy QA process which I'm sure you can understand.
